Our solution was designed for use in the cloud, so it incorporates best practices to establish security at each layer of the architecture.

Our protection begins with the integration of GuardianKey as the second factor of authentication. This brilliant solution uses artificial intelligence to detect anomalous behavior during the opening of a session in real time without requiring the user to perform additional steps in their authentication. In this way, accounts are protected against intruders who could have obtained the credentials by compromising the user’s email account.

As we say at Cloud Inet, security is our business. Our solution includes a new technical concept called RAP technology (Remote Processing Application) to provide multiple layers of security. This ensures that service repositories are never directly exposed over the internet, and only the account that successfully initiates a session can access the specific credentials for which the administrator has granted permission.

This solution introduces the concept of vaults, which are sets of digital envelopes to store passwords classified according to different types that represent various services or characteristics of the envelopes, as well as the rules for accessing them. Each user can have access to multiple vaults according to the access granted by the administrator. This guarantees that access to information is isolated between the different repositories of each customer.

Finally, and not being a minor detail, all service repositories are encrypted with military-grade encryption and stored redundantly.

Functionality

Within the Enterprise Password Manager, the administrator defines the number of vaults that your company wishes to use to segregate access for the user community, generally IT members who require access to enveloped passwords to perform specific tasks using users with broad or special permissions.

Once the vaults have been defined, the administrator can create different types of envelopes, defining specific attributes that represent useful metadata to search for or use a password required for a task. In each type, you can define up to five custom attributes in addition to the hashtag field, which is useful in all cases to leave traces that facilitate the search for the envelope.

During the definition of the type of envelope, the administrator decides whether users can open the envelope freely or if they must execute an approval workflow through which the user requests access and a third-party team can approve the envelope opening. In this way, your organization has all the tools to share these valuable resources without losing control of them.

Audit

Our solution stores audit records for all business-type vaults, making our service compatible with SOX standards. The reports can be used to carry out a forensic analysis regarding the life cycle of a vault or a specific digital asset.
